The Conference programme
What can we expect from this year’s Instructor Conference?
Utilising KUMON CONNECT as a breakthrough – Developing a Joy of Learning from Day 1 to KIS
This year’s KEA Conference will very much be, by Instructors, for Instructors.
2026 marks our first year of the ICPC (Instructor Conference Planning Committee), a group of five Instructors from across KEA. Their role is to steer the Conference planning, host Conference and they will also be delivering the presentations this year.
The committee’s term will run through to Kumon’s 70th Anniversary year in 2028, hence the name ICPC70.
A key objective of ICPC70 is to amplify Instructor voices, both in the preparation of the Conference and on the day itself. As such, there will be opportunities for Instructors across KEA to contribute ideas, experiences and perspectives. Please look out for future Conference communications explaining how you can get involved.
The main presentations will focus on the 2026 Instructional Theme, and our Instructors will speak about how they have endeavoured to develop a joy of learning from Day 1 for their students, thanks to:
- Harnessing the value and power of DT on KC
- Making better use of individualised Study Projections to strengthen instruction and parent communication
- Delivering thorough Initial Instruction to nurture each student’s ability from the outset
- Utilising KUMON CONNECT as a catalyst to support and enhance these approaches
Throughout the Conference, ICPC70 members will share their experiences, insights and practical examples from their own centres. Together, we will explore how to strengthen student engagement, build confidence from the earliest stages of study, and support long-term development all the way through to KIS.
We look forward to welcoming you to Windsor for what promises to be an engaging, thought-provoking and inspiring Conference experience.

Recognition of Instructors
We’ll recognise those who have nurtured the most Completers (2025-2026) and have the longest career length to 2026.
[Please note that due to this being a KEA-wide event, we will celebrate the greatest Completer numbers and longest career lengths, rather than all awards.
Later this year, every qualifying Instructors’ name will be shown as usual at each company’s Annual Direction Seminar.]
Gala Dinner
Join us for a special Gala Dinner on the evening of Friday 23 October — a festive occasion to celebrate another successful year. It’s a chance to dress up, unwind, and enjoy the company of your fellow Instructors and companions in a relaxed and celebratory setting.
The Gala Dinner venue is situated within the hotel property and can be accessed internally from the main hotel building, so there is no need to walk outside or bring a coat specifically for the journey between venues.
The registration form will include a section for you to share any dietary requirements for yourself and your guests.
Please note: Alcohol will be served at this event.
Chief Centre Operators (COC), Head Assistants or partners are welcome (maximum of 2 guests per Instructor).
Charge applies per guest. Costs and country subsidies are detailed and available locally.
Following dinner, there will be music until the early hours of the morning.
Dietary requirements
Upon registration, you’ll be able to detail any dietary requirements for you and your guests, so we may accommodate everyone.
